Our family farm dates back to 1890, when our great-grandfather Peter Blažič bought the estate and, true to its location, devoted it to viticulture and fruit growing. Today three generations live and work on the farm, where we first bottled wine in 1993. We conscientiously follow the idea of environmentally friendly farming, both in growing grapes and in making wine; in practice this means that the greatest and most important work is done in the vineyard, where most of the quality is born, which we then carefully nurture and refine in the cellar through diligent winemaking.

The main hallmark of our wines—which essentially ‘simply’ continue the story that begins in the vineyard, and among which we are especially proud of the two traditional Brda varieties, Rebula and Sauvignonasse (formerly known as Tokaj)—is that, thanks to our nature-friendly approach to growing the grapes and turning them into wine, they are exceptionally characterful, true to their variety, and unmistakably our own – Blažič.
