We are the Ferjančič family from Planina above Ajdovščina, where we have been growing vines and making wine since 1809. Here, on the Vipava hills where the valley meets the Karst, extreme yet ideal conditions for the vine prevail. Marl soils that lend the wines minerality, the Vipava burja that contributes freshness, and Mediterranean sun together form the terroir of the Vipava Valley. Under these conditions we cannot have quantity, but we can have quality — and that is our first principle.
