The story of two families, Gašparin and Vuga. The winegrowing history of the Gašparin family reaches far back to 1710, when our great-grandfather, notary Blaž Gašparin — son of Adam Gašparin, the estate owner of Šmartno-Imenje — managed, alongside his notarial duties, a large family estate with several tenant farms.
Ever since then, the heritage of viticulture and winemaking has been passed down from generation to generation.
Mirko, Boris, Maruška Gašparin, Silverij, and his son Goran Vuga – our role models, who from an early age devoted themselves to the vineyards and to wine, and through their tireless work shaped it into what Silveri is today.
We, Taras and Tadej, brought Silveri our desire to experiment and the knowledge we gained during our studies. Both of us are deeply rooted in viticulture, oenology and the endless world of producing sparkling wines using the classic method. Together with age-old winegrowing knowledge, we have succeeded in producing sparkling wines and wines of outstanding quality, honoured with some of the most important awards in the wine world.
Today, with the fourth generation waiting in the wings, we look to the future with pride, and it delights us that Silveri stands on solid foundations for what lies ahead. This is a story of passion, hard work, enthusiasm, courage and trust.
