The headquarters of Wise Grus is located in the city of cranes, Daruvar in Croatia. Since the reign of Count Janković and the construction of the magnificent castle at the heart of present-day Daruvar, the crane has been an ever-present bird — in the town's coat of arms and in its very name. The town was named in 1771, when the count began building the castle of the same name, Žerjavov grad. To the ancient Celts, who were the first to settle this area, cranes were messengers of the gods. Throughout history, researchers have found ancient urns, weapons, helmets, and coins, all adorned with crane symbols, suggesting that the crane was a Celtic military emblem. Because of their upright bearing, the ancient Celts believed that cranes had originally been human beings. Wise Grus spirits are magical, long-lived, mysterious — everything the crane is. Traditional, characterful, homely — everything a spirit should be. Elegant, refined, impressive — everything the Wise Grus brand stands for.
