The name 1724 tonic refers to an altitude of 1,724 m on the sacred Peruvian Inca Trail, where cinchona trees grow, from which quinine is obtained, one of the main ingredients of this tonic. The natural quinine, which gives this tonic its distinctive flavor, is extracted by hand from the bark of the cinchona tree, and the producer of this premium tonic also pays special attention to ensuring that all the ingredients are natural and of the highest quality.
