Incline Chardonnay takes advantage of the Quartz Acorn terroir to create a wine with pronounced minerality, freshness, and fruit character, without the dominance of woody aromas. It is an excellent choice for those who appreciate Chardonnay that manages to be both elegant and distinctive — as well as a wine that will reward a few years of cellaring. Domaine Roy Fils is known for its sustainable approach and hand sorting of grapes. The wine impresses with its balance between fruitiness, minerality, and subtle creaminess. Suitable for special occasions or as an accompaniment to fine cuisine.

Appearance: Straw-gold color with slight golden reflections, the expected pure color of Chardonnay from a cooler region. The wine is clear, crystal clear, with a smooth surface.

Aroma: Primary aromas of green apple, pear, lemon (citrus) – a fresh fruity profile. Secondary aromas include floral notes, minerality (volcanic/marine), a slight creamy note, and a possible scent of freshly baked bread or brioche, depending on contact with the lees.

Taste: Dry, with firm acidity; medium to full body. The texture is creamy due to aging and contact with the lees. The flavor profile consists of fruit (green apple, pear, citrus), slight creaminess, mineral elements (salinity or slight mineral sharpness), possible slight note of vanilla/oak, but not dominant – harmony between fruit and wood.

Finish: The finish is medium-long to long; fruity and mineral elements remain present, acidity gives a refreshing aftertaste, and the creamy note at the end adds elegance. The wine is suitable for enjoyment now, but has the potential to age in the cellar for another 2–4 years without losing freshness.
