Barolo Sarmassa 2015 reflects the elegance and structure of the northern Barolo sites — deep aromas, stunning complexity, dry tannins and a long aftertaste, with a poetic botanical touch. The wine is an aesthetically and oenologically excellent example of modern traditional production. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the selected Sarmassa site. Suitable for aging and culinary pairings. Marchesi di Barolo is renowned for refinement and respect for tradition.

Appearance: Deep garnet red color, clear, medium to full-bodied.

Aroma: Intense nose – a combination of ripe red fruits (sour cherry, plum, red berries), rose (dog rose), spices (clove, black pepper), vanilla, licorice, tobacco, and gentle smoky/woody tones.

Taste: Full and structured body with fine mineral acidity. On the palate, red fruits, American tea, eucalyptus, tobacco, licorice, and black pepper dominate, supported by creamy yet firm tannins.

Finish: Long-lasting, rich flavor with fruity-spicy and woody-mineral nuances. The tannins are robust yet balanced, the aftertaste is elegant and intriguing; optimal for decanting, to be enjoyed between 2023–2035/2040.
