Aroma: The bouquet is predominantly fruity, but with a good dose of spices and a characteristic Bordeaux touch of green pepper.
Taste: The wine is initially pleasantly tannic and slightly bitter, then fruit notes develop, followed by a wave of saltiness (minerality) and a final freshness (acidity).
Finish: Powerful finish with an association to jams made from small forest fruits (especially blueberries and raspberries) with a touch of vanilla, but without sweetness. The wine pairs excellently with hearty meat dishes and a simple pizza with plenty of tomatoes, cheese, and cured meats.
