Appearance: The wine originates from the terroir on the right bank of the Serein River, facing south, which produces round and powerful wines with the minerality of Kimmeridgian soil. The cuvée combines grapes from the Vaulorent and Homme Mort areas.
Aroma: The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, destemmed and statically settled for 24 hours before fermentation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in wooden barrels, where the wine matures for 10 months, of which 4 months are in stainless steel tanks. Only used barrique barrels are employed.
Taste: The wine boasts 13% alcohol and expresses the characteristics of the terroir, reflected in the fullness of flavor and structure. The minerality of the soil intertwines with pronounced fruity notes, developing into a harmonious whole.
Finish: Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume 2023 Olivier Leflaive 0.75 l is an elegant and complex wine with a long and pleasant aftertaste that will delight lovers of quality Chardonnays.
