Appearance: Deep amber–orange color with shimmering golden highlights. Naturally slightly cloudy, which is characteristic of unfiltered wines with extended skin contact.
Aroma: Pronounced complexity: dried apricots, orange peel, quince, honey, wax, notes of tea leaves, and a light nuttiness. There are also ripe floral notes, a slight balsamic character, and the typical mineral component of mature vintage Riesling. With extended aeration, warm oxidative tones and subtle herbal notes develop.
Taste: Full, rich, and structured wine with characteristic tannins acquired through prolonged maceration. The taste is deep, layered, with notes of dried fruit, candied lemon, herbs, honey, and a slight oxidative note that enhances complexity. The acidity is nicely integrated and, despite the warm vintage, retains vibrancy. The texture is firm, almost velvety, with a clear amphora character.
Finish: Very long, mineral, and warm finish, with a lingering echo of citrus peel, tea notes, dried fruit, and an elegant tannin structure. The wine is extremely persistent and still in excellent shape, with potential for further aging.
