Schieferkopf Lieu-Dit Buehl 2016 is an exceptional Alsatian Riesling that combines intense minerality, a dry structure, and a texture rarely seen in classic Alsace. Distinct terroir, elegance, and long-term drinkability make it attractive both to lovers of dry white wines and to collectors with a taste for terroir. The wine impresses with lively acidity, silky texture, and a long mineral finish. Ideal for gourmets seeking elegance and a concise style of oriental clarity. Produced exclusively from hand-picked Riesling, with minimal intervention in the cellar to emphasize the terroir.

Appearance: Intense golden-yellow with greenish reflections; clear and luminous. Medium-bodied with a dense and radiant look.

Aroma: Inside the elegant and aromatic nose we recognize white blossoms, citrus fruit (lime, grapefruit), green apple, and notes of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), complemented by a slight toasty minerality and a hint of iodine/ioda. The nose is complex and gently spiced.

Palate: On the palate the wine is dry, medium-bodied with spectacularly lively acidity and an intense mineral note. Fruit flavors (citrus, white orange, tropical fruit) bring structure. The texture is silky; the wine is both robust and lean, with a long iodine-like mineral finish.

Finish: A long-lasting and elegant finish: the fruitiness develops into a salty-mineral memory with an iodous background. Exceptionally well balanced; structure and freshness together create elegance for aging.
