Château Marsau Rouge 2018 is an excellent Bordeaux red wine with an exceptional Merlot structure, intense fruity character, and elegant minerality, often compared to "Pétrus Côtes de Francs." Its deep ruby hue is accompanied by complex aromas of ripe dark berries and notes of chocolate, coffee, spices, and subtle earthiness. The taste is dry, medium to full-bodied, with fine and structured tannins and fresh acidity; the fruitiness rounds off nicely into a mineral and coffee finish with a slightly bitter-spicy note. Production is based on organically grown grapes, fermentation with native yeasts without added sulfur, and aging for 20 months in French barrels at low yields. It is excellent for thoughtful aging and also for immediate enjoyment on special occasions.

Appearance: Medium to dark ruby color with intense shine. Medium to full body, clear and saturated structure.

Aroma: The aromatic profile is rich: ripe dark berries (cherries, blackberries, cassis), together with complex tones of chocolate, coffee, spices, and a subtle earthy base. Elegant, aromatic nose with hints of vanilla and coffee.

Taste: Dry, medium to full body with fine yet structured tannins. The fruitiness is concentrated, the acidity fresh, and there is a mineral-spicy emphasis. The taste adds notes of black olive, spicy wood, and salty minerality.

Finish: Long-lasting, balanced finish: the fruitiness rounds off into bittersweet spices, with a gradual mineral and coffee nuance. Recommended drinking between 2022 and 2025, with the wine remaining suitable up to 2028.
