Color: Dark ruby red with a slight orange tint at the rim. A viscous texture that beautifully coats the glass.
Aroma: Very complex nose: pronounced notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), balsamic herbs, wormwood, candied oranges, and sweet wine. There is also a faint hint of caramel and brown sugar.
Taste: On the palate the wine is rich, with an unmistakable sweetness (classic for rosso vermouth), nicely balanced with bitterness from herbs. The texture is silky, and the alcohol pleasantly warms the palate. Candied citrus, wormwood, anise, and cinnamon stand out in the foreground.
Finish: The aftertaste is long and aromatic—it remains sweet, yet with a lovely bitterness. Very elegant and traditionally balanced.
