Color: The clear bottles have a dark reddish-amber hue; when you pour it into a tulip glass or snifter, it turns light copper with orange and golden undertones.
Aroma: Peach and apricot, a hint of honey, dry oak reminiscent of an older XO cognac, and a little alcohol warmth.
Palate: Peach with accompanying notes of almonds, raisins, and cinnamon. A rich, viscous mouthfeel highlights and rounds out all the flavors. In the middle of the tasting, a dry oak note appears, with a tingly spice and a slight burn on the back of the throat.
Finish: Not unpleasant; although given the richness of this cognac, it’s surprisingly not a bit longer.
