For more than 200 years, we have tended every vine and every grape from our vineyard with the same measure of love and devotion.

We give the vine a gentle, even growth with minimal pressure. In return, we receive its love in the form of healthy, ripe grapes and, later, fine wines. We preserve the tradition of our grandparents, which is why we remain small producers of excellent wines. Modern knowledge has taught us how to preserve the full potential of the grapes and allow their natural ripening. In this way, our wines can reveal all the richness hidden within them, providing unforgettable moments and harmonious pleasures.

My grandfather used to tell me: Matjaž, always remember that wine comes from grapes, so we must always drink it with respect. Those words have stayed with me and shape my entire philosophy of winemaking and my relationship with wine. With years of experience, I keep discovering deeper meaning and new dimensions in understanding both wine and life.

Our ancestors always knew exactly where to plant the vine so that it could live in harmony with nature and give us the finest grapes. Stone terraces support our best vineyards. They grow on sunny, airy slopes, where the morning sun dries the vine and warms it throughout the day. This allows the vine to develop and maintain its own natural defences against various diseases, ensuring healthy grapes just as it did 200 years ago and more.
