Appearance
Deep, almost opaque ruby-violet color with intense brilliance and aristocratic concentration.
Nose
Exceptionally complex and deep aromatic profile with notes of black cherry, blackberry, plum, and blackcurrant, complemented by aromas of olive tapenade, cedar, tobacco, dark chocolate, flour, violets, lavender, and sweet spices.
There is also a pronounced mineral and slightly menthol note, giving the wine exceptional complexity and elegance.
Palate
Full-bodied with exceptional concentration, yet at the same time incredible finesse and a silky tannin texture.
There are notes of dark fruit, plum, black cherry, cocoa, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and subtle earthy tones. Despite its richness, the wine retains exceptional freshness, verticality, and energy.
L’Apparita 2021 comes across as monumental, yet never heavy — a Merlot with a distinctly Tuscan soul.
Finish
Exceptionally long, complex, and aristocratic finish with persistent notes of dark fruit, cocoa, spices, wet stone, cedar, and subtle menthol. The finish remains incredibly energetic and precise.
